You might know her as the wiz behind Shondaland (Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder). The shero that made Thursday nights #TGIT feel like back in the day TGIF. Chicago born and raised Shonda Rhimes is a force to be reckoned with in the industry and last year she released a book titled “Year of Yes: How to Dance It Out, Stand In the Sun and Be Your Own Person.”
On Monday(2/15) she delivered her #TEDtalk “My year of saying yes to everything” to kick off the sold out $8,500/person TED2016: Dream Conference. In it the titan starts off by saying “A while ago, I tried an experiment. For one year, I would say ‘yes’ to all the things that scared me. Anything that made me nervous or took me out of my comfort zone, I’d say ‘yes.’” Public speaking? Yes. Acting? Yes. “A crazy thing happened — the very act of doing the thing that scared me undid the fear,”
Below is the video, now make yourself feel good, watch and start on your journey of saying yes and breaking out of your comfort zone.
