Met Museum Previews "Manus x Machina"

The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute’s “Manus x Machina” spring 2016 exhibition, exploring the “impact of new technology on fashion, and how designers are reconciling the handmade and the machine-made in the creation of haute couture and avant-garde ready-to-wear” will be presented to the public in the Museum’s Robert Lehman Wing and Anna Wintour Costume Center starting May 5 and run until August 14, 2016. Ahead of Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology opening and the benefit gala that is the Met Ball May 2, the museum held a press presentation event today (2/15) featuring some of the pieces from the exhibit that will feature more than 100 examples of haute couture and avant-garde ready-to-wear, with Thomas Campbell, Andrew Bolton, and Anna Wintour in attendance.
