Last Friday at Revel Downtown, over 100 of Chicago’s philanthropic inclined young professionals came out to support Children’s Research Fund’s Junior board’s ‘Cocktails For a Cause’ fundraiser co-chaired by Georgette Condos and Kristin Hanson.
Guests had their fill of food, drinks and desert all in one night from featured restaurant and beverage sponsors including Rural Society, Roy’s, Buffalo Trace, Mr. Browns Lounge, Dinosaur BBQ to name a few, with proceeds from the evening benefitting pediatric research initiatives at Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute affiliated with The Anne & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
The David Rothstein band and DJ Stylematters provided the evening’s entertainment and in between, guests were urged to bid, bid, bid on the silent auction items including a $1,500 chipotle gift card(bae!), Benefit makeup party for lucky winner and friends, Bulls sky box tickets and whiskey were just a few of the many items up.
As the night got underway, it was time for the live auction which featured packages including “The Ultimate Foodie Experience” customized dinner for two at the Girl & The Goat Chefs table and in home wine tasting with friends that went for $800; The New York, New York package consisting of 2 RT tickets on United, 2 nights stay at New York Athletic Club and a live taping of The Daily Show, went for $1,200.
