Where: Swarovski’s Michigan Avenue boutique
The scoop: Swarovski’s Creative Director & Executive Vice President Nathalie Colin hosted a cocktail party at Swarovski’s Michigan Avenue boutique. Colin shared her insider tips for styling jewelry and accessories to guests. As the head of Swarovski’s design team, Nathalie and her team come up with 1,500 sketches each season, 400 of which are chosen to be put into production. Nathalie is also the author of MULTIFACE(T)S Style Yourself with Jewelry, a book about the many ways to wear jewelry.
Event:Weizmann Institute of Science Gala

Where: Fairmont Chicago Hotel
The scoop: Co-chaired by Brian Price and Marilyn Perlman, more than 800 supporters attended the annual gala to honor Richard S. Price, Chairman and CEO of Mesirow Financial, raising $1.8 million. The theme of the evening was “Limitless, Celebrating Collaborative Achievement.” Guests celebrated Price’s many philanthropic efforts and his support of the Weizmann Institute of Science.

The scoop: Kilian Hennessy of by Kilian was at Saks Fifth Avenue (Michigan Ave.) for personal appearance to meet and greet as well as to introduce his new fragrance, Voulez-vous Coucher Avec Moi and fifth scented jewelry collection, Lights & Reflections.
Event: Elena Delle Donne Preview Nike “Snow Day”

The scoop: Elena Delle Donne and Nike invited select media to get a first look at new TV spot “Snow Day” featuring pro athletes: Rob Gronkowski, Ndamukong Suh, Odell Beckham Jr., Le’Veon Bell, Eugenie Bouchard, Antonio Brown, Elena Delle Donne, Marlen Esparza, Paula Findlay, Lauren Fisher, Paul George, A.J. Green, Draymond Green, Luke Kuechly, Sydney Leroux, Carli Lloyd, Marcus Mariota, LeSean McCoy, Ben Roethlisberger, Eric Weddle and Steven Stamkos. Delle Donne, repping Chicago in the new Nike Training film “Snow Day” which kicks off Nike’s #GetOutHere campaign to inspire athletes at every level who want to train and embrace winter weather, was joined by Nike – CENTRAL VP/GM, Jim Beeman to announce a new training journey to find 48 of the most weather-defying athletes to compete in the Get Out Here Challenge, with the selected cold weather athletes participating in the ultimate cold-weather training experience to be hosted in Chicago the week of December 8, 2015.
Event:16th annual Carl Sandburg Literary Award

Where: The Forum @ UIC
The scoop: Almost 700 guests attended the evening, many, fans of the legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim, discussed how profoundly Sondheim’s work had touched and influenced them at various stages of their lives and the event went on to raise $1.5 million. Sondheim was presented the Carl Sandburg Literary Award by the Chicago Public Library Foundation and the Chicago Public Library. Also honored was Eric Charles May, Associate Professor in the Fiction Writing program of Columbia College, received the 21st Century Award, which salutes emerging authors with ties to Chicago.
Event:Giuliana Rancic’s FABtober
Date: Saturday, October 24
Where: Lord & Taylor at Oakbrook Center
The scoop: Giuliana Rancic, a cancer survivor herself, met with a small group of young women facing breast cancer who were also FABtober recipients in honor of breast cancer awareness month. FABtober took place throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month with The Pink Agenda and FAB-U-WISH granting a wish a day for women currently facing breast cancer to provide them with a special FABtober makeover experience at Lord & Taylor with Estée Lauder.
