Wait is he related to that infomercial guy Kevin Trudeau who’s serving 10 years in federal prison?! Not that we are aware of. Mr. Trudeau, 43, is the new Prime Minister of Canada following the Canadian Liberal leader’s win yesterday over Prime Minister Stephen Harper who held the position since 2006. His father Pierre Trudeau, one of Canada’s most recognizable figures in politics, was also Prime Minister so kind of like the Canadian version of George HW and George Walker Bush. The Liberal candidates have secured 184 seats and Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition, what Harper’s Conservatives will now officially be designated as have 99 seats. He’s got a philanthropic mind. [CNN]
Following CEO Oscar Munoz’s heart attack, last week and subsequent medical leave, an interim leader general counsel Brett Hart, 46 will take on the role of acting chief executive officer, effective immediately. He will make his first presentation to investors as acting chief on Thursday, when the company reports third-quarter results. [WSJ]
The “Blade Runner” is on his way home after he was released on parole late on Monday to serve the rest of his sentence under house arrest, a year into his five-year sentence. He was found guilty of culpable homicide for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day 2013. He faces an appeal on Nov. 3 by prosecutors who argue that he should have been convicted of murder. [REUTERS]

Two months after the scathing article about Amazon’s workplace, former White House Press Secretary now Amazon spokesman Jay Carney responded in a blog post on Medium. Following his response, Times’ executive editor, Dean Baquet, responded to Carney’s with his own blog post on Medium. This would have been the appropriate response in our opinion.
