When singer Ellie Goudling isn’t laying down tracks in the studio, lighting up the charts with her angelic voice or gracing front row of fashion shows, she can be found on the owning the track, hitting the pavement for long runs or at a gym running to keep fit.
She has shared her fitness routines on her instagram page and even led a Barry’s Bootcamp class, now Nike has tapped the singer to design a new workout for their NTC (Nike+ Training Club) app. Elie Goulding’s 15 minute Get Lean N+TC exercise routine will debut March 2.
“I think having a yin and yang with exercise is the important thing for me. I love to do high intensity training, but I also love to take it easy. I say take it easy, but doing yoga is not easy…Doing something different every day keeps things fresh, exciting and interesting.”
During an interview with Competitor magazine, she shared that she started running at age 18 and ran a half marathon in 2013. In the case of “stars, they are just like us” even with a busy schedule she’s managed to find time to workout but it’s taken a lot of motivation but you won’t need much time with her 15 minute app workout though.
“I think my passion for exercise and my passion for performing on stage have started to intertwine slightly because I have to be fit to do all of the things I want to do on stage,” Goulding says. “Sports and music have a similar rush. But when I’m on stage, there’s no other feeling like it. It doesn’t come close to anything.”
