Art Basel Hong Kong 2014 Recap

The second year of the Art Basel franchise Hong Kong proved to be another successful one for gallerists and artists alike.

This year fell within the same time period as Frieze New York but with  245 galleries from 39 countries in attendance they still reported strong sales.

Art Basel’s popular Film sector  made its debut with  49 films by 41 artists, represented by 31 galleries participating in the fair. Works by international artists such as Sookoon Ang, Takashi Ishida, John Latham, Dinh Q. Lê, Roman Signer, Nina Yuen and Hong Kong artists, Kwan Sheung Chi and Christopher Doyle

UBS served as Art Basel’s global Lead Partner once again. They’ve supported all three  Art Basel shows in Basel, Miami Beach and Hong Kong
