If the Southwest commercial “wanna get away” had a destination in mind, it would be Blackberry Farm in Tennessee. The idyllic country inn has 62 estate and cottage rooms that sits on a 4,200 acres farm beckoning “discerning guests who aspire to escape modern-day frenzy and slip into a Blackberry state of mind.” Chicagoans Florida and David Lasier built it initially as a summer/retirement home in 1939.
The Barn at Blackberry Farm was just awarded the James Beard Award for Outstanding Wine Program 2014.
Traverse City & Harbor Country Michigan
