BOYS & GIRLS CLUB 2013 LEADERSHIP DINNER
With about 350 guests in attendance the annual Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago held their annual Leadership dinner at the Four Seasons as True Value Foundation and the late Jimmie R. Alford received this year’s honor. The event was chaired by Craig Martin with Vice chairs Todd Hamilton and Renée Crown, Master of Ceremonies for the event was Bill Kurtis.
Jimmie R. Alford, who died unexpectedly in 2012, was a lifelong advocate of the organization. He began his career at the Cotter Club at 18 and became their youngest Director at the age of 23
HERRADURA TEQUILA-OCTOBER 23
Tequila Herradura hosted an evening where nine local artists created one-of-a-kind artworks using Tequila Herradura’s handcrafted oak barrels for the chance to win $10,000. Chicago was the 4th stop in the nationwide “Barrel Art Collection” competition. Adam Toht with his piece “Isle of Herradura, 2013” was the Chicago winner and along with the $10,000(drinks on Adam) he will get to travel to the Miami Showcase Event Finale in December.

FRYE recently opened a store in Chicago’s goldcoast neighborhood and to celebrate their first freestanding store in the Windy City, they hosted a private event which was also a celebration of their 150th anniversary. With music by DJ Matt Roan and a live music set by the band Blondfire, guests noshed, sipped and viewed the wide array of footwear and accessories.
