Friday evening we kicked off our weekend fun(d)raising for a noble cause while dancing the night away with members and guests of The University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation(UCCRF) Associate Board. This was their first Gatsby Gala and the dashing ladies and dapper gentlemen in attendance heeded the suggested dress code of Gatsby/20’s attire* with ladies in flapper dresses, feather headbands and gents in tuxes, fitting suits and hats.
The UCCRF Associate Board, founded in 2001, consists of young philanthropists dedicated to raising the funds necessary to aid in the prevention and cure of cancer at the University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation. The University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation (UCCRF) plays a key role in helping the University of Chicago Comprehensice Cancer Center (UCCCC) enhance cancer care, develop more effective and safer therapies, and promote prevention and screening research.
