2012 was a year filled so many great moments here in Chicago especially on the fashion front. Chicago saw it’s fair share of major retail openings and re-launches such as the Burberry Store, Ann Taylor, Gallery Aesthe, Lanvin, Christian Louboutin and many more.

Looking forward to 2013, we asked Jena Gambaccini of ChiCityFashion to give us 3 stores she would like to see plant roots in Chicago this upcoming year.

Here are Jena’s picks and let’s hope like the teachings of The Secret once it’s vocalized it just will actualize.

ALEXANDER WANG

The Alexander Wang in SoHo has a fur hammock. If Chicago needs anything, it’s a fur hammock. Need I say more?

OPENING CEREMONY

I go to NYC at least twice a year and no matter how busy I may be while I’m there I ALWAYS make time for Opening Ceremony (even if I have only 20 minutes to spare). There’s really no place like it, and as much as I try to resist…I always walk out with something new.

PROENZA SCHOULER

I think I’ve made it pretty clear over the years I have an unhealthy obsession with Proenza Schouler. They just opened their first store on Madison Ave in New York over the summer…and I think they would fit in quite well on Michigan Ave :)
