JAMES GOEKE'S SUMMER SOUNDTRACK

I love twitter and the way it helps break down walls and the numerous steps it would take to reach someone or get  something accomplished. I have met some of the  most cool, nice and just downright awesome people via twitter. James Goeke is no exception. You see, one day I saw a RT on my timeline from @jamesgoeke  linking to some music, the curious cat I am immediately scanned his timeline to find an eclectic mix of music.  I said “damn I like this dude’s taste in music;”  So I thought, why not do a James Goeke’s playlist post.  After an email exchange, James kindly agreed and I think you will love his selections. For James, summer’s necessary ingredients include: hot temperatures, sun, friends, a grill, a light breeze, umbrellas, cocktails, a pool and most importantly, a killer playlist.

Based on his impressive taste in music I immediately assumed he worked in some facet of music.  I soon discovered that he doesn’t, he just genuinely loves music, especially underground artists that not too many people know about…yet.
He also has a cool site he runs with Megan Taylor called  THE  SOUNDBASTARDS. Seriously, if you’re not following James on twitter you’re missing out on some great music you probably might not discover on your own(he gets some of these music as soon as they drop).  Follow him and get your music in order. @JamesGoeke

Check out his chilled out, electronic, sun & soul-soaked summer soundtrack:

If you’re on spotify, I created a playlist of his selections so you can jam to it while at home, at work or whenever you feel like it. Enjoy!
