Making the scene is more than just showing up to an event, what you wear to said event matters. To avoid a fashion crisis or infuse your Summer wardrobe with different wares, Bar III will be in Chicago this weekend at the Randolph Street market. Bar III is the exclusive contemporary line of Macy’s impulse department. Every guy/gal on the scene have their go to spots for unique pieces and this weekend you’ve got an extra option with Bar III selections of RTW Women’s, Men’s, Jewelry and Home from its latest summer collection. To boot, Bar III flea market style Ambassador and Style blogger Aimee(aww-meeh) Song of Song of Style will be on hand to offer some advice to shoppers. Tweet them @barIIItweets or use hashtag #barIIIflea.
The best part is you won’t have to worry about lugging all those bags once you’re done shopping. You get to browse, try on the merchandise and when you’re ready to checkout, Bar III staffers will complete your transaction via iPad. The anticipation of receiving your package will help get through the week for sure, I know it does for me.
The nationwide tour for Bar III, which kicked off in NYC with PYTs Hannah Bronfman(M.I.A’s sister-in-law, GF Asher Roth), Cory Kennedy(DJ), will stop at the Randolph Street Market Saturday and Sunday May 26/27. Tickets to Randolph Street Market is $8 advance and $10 at the door but so worth it.
From its inception, the Bar III aesthetic has been essentially post-‐modern -‐ an eclectic hybrid of American design. Consisting of RTW, men’s, jewelry, and home, the brand encourages the juxtaposition
of the old with the new by accenting wardrobe staples with vintage finds. -Macy’s MMG Sr. VP of Marketing Nancy Slavin
